One History. Different Perspectives. This interactive history project explores conflicts, persecution, turning points, and connections involving Jewish, Christian, and Muslim communities across centuries.
The goal is to help you understand what happened, who experienced it, and how accounts of the same history can differ—not to assign blame to an entire religion or present one community as having a single viewpoint.
Use the top navigation to explore Jewish, Christian, or Islamic history. Each timeline starts at a different point in history.
On a timeline page, scroll down through the abyss. The falling figure and the historical events move with your journey. Scroll back up to revisit an earlier period.
Select a dated event on the timeline. Read what happened, its historical context and aftermath. Some entries include statistics, connections to other events, or a map.
Use Explore Timeline to search for events, filter the timeline, or jump to a year instead of scrolling through every century.
Open Different Perspectives and search for an event or year. Click a result, then switch between Jewish, Christian, Muslim, and evidence tabs to compare documented experiences and interpretations.
Look for Sources & certainty within event details, and visit Method & Sources to understand how the project handles historical evidence, disputed claims, and limitations.
